Grotto San Martino

About two years ago we were here during the Corona pandemic and excused the inadequacies with the extraordinary circumstances. Today we actually had completely normal conditions and were disappointed again. The whole (short) evening felt like a visit to a Costine factory. Table by table is filled before a new table with guests is started. The food is served very quickly, which is not necessarily a bad thing. However, it is not possible for the plates to be cleared away again when other people at the table are still eating or you have not finished eating yourself. Ho mangiato bene, cose semplici ben cucinate. Un luogo piacevole con spazi diversi, ampi, all 'interno come anche all 'esterno dove, sotto grandi alberi, si trovano numerosi tavoli in pietra per l 'estate. Il servizio è attento e molto piacevole. È un grotto, l 'ambiante è informale ma tutto è ben curato; le norme igieniche sono scrupolosamente osservate. We have been eating here when visiting Ticino for many years. Unfortunately, compared to before, the Costine were very fatty and didn't come off the bone. The house wine (rose) was definitely diluted with water and didn't taste good. As always, the fries were under-fried and blonde. We don't have to go here anymore. It's a shame actually.

I've been there a long time ago. The ribs are very delicious. When I have a chance, I go back again. But this time I was a little disappointed with the food. It's not the same as before. excellent restaurant, prices are deep for such exceptional meat quality. enough parking and cordial staff. visit the grotto ca. 5 times a year, so I recommend a reservation at the same time. the meat is natural, from the Swiss and simply top class.

This cosy place, with an amazing view, serves up a meaty feast. Our favorite are the ribs fries. Nothing fancy but the meat is expertly grilled by and experienced Portuguese chef. It's always tasty and tender.

Good food, smaller portions than other grottos and average prices. Too bad about the staff who could be more kind and welcoming! (Not all, some waitresses are very friendly)
