I always enjoy visiting this restaurant. I have had mostly positive experiences here, except for a recent visit when I stopped in for a late lunch on Sunday and the young employee behind the counter informed me that they were closing in 40 minutes. It was unnecessary to mention this, as I usually don't take that long to eat at Groucho's. It was quite rude to mention closing time so early. Perhaps hiring older staff would improve the customer experience.
I placed an order through door dash and received the wrong order. When I called Groucho’s, the manager explained that there were two door dash orders with my name and the dashers must have gotten mixed up so this was completely on door dash. He offered and delivered my order to me. I tried to tip and he wouldn’t accept. Very kind of him. Amazing service.
The turkey sandwich was warm and had a good flavor. The server was pleasant and efficient. Update 12/23/22. The sandwiches were good. There is nothing fancy about the place but everyone is nice and inside is clean. 11/24/23 The service was bad today. The food is good the brown mule roast beef,Provolone cheese was great. No alcohol is served here.
The hot pastrami is awesome, especially with the 45 sauce. Also server named Ashley is an awesome server, awesome service Ashley. I'm from NC, was in SC 3 months ago, I ate at Grouch Oscar and was sooooo impressed. I just came back and went back to grouchos for lunch, and the server Ashley remembered my order. I'm impressed Réservez une table maintenant
We always order to go when out running errands or if we just have a Formula 45 sauce craving! Food is always hot, service friendly, and kids happy : The Greenville location rocks and will forever be a family favorite! I can’t share any photos because before I can reach my phone, food is gone and bellies full! Thank you!! :
I've eaten here twice in a week and both times were very good. The first time was a STP Dipper takeout order which still tasted amazing by the time I ate it (15 minutes later). The second time was dining in for lunch. The wait staff was nice and the food did not take very long.
