Compared to the other wetherspoons we've been to we had a Small amount of food on the plate for the price and low quality. Relatively fast service using the app we again ordered desert, waiter came up and said items were not available but stated otherwise via app. Told by the waiter we could choose any other dessert regardless of price so we did and was confirmed with the kitchen . A few minutes later the manager came up and said we had to pay extra but we replied with what I said above Then they blamed it on the waiter and stated they were in training (they had confirmed with the kitchen prior so it was not their fault). We all know what to expect with a ‘Spoons. I was visiting the town for a gig and wanted some dinner on a budget and that’s exactly what I got at Grover Allen. I'm a big fan of Spoons pubs and visited many of them up and down the country.
