When our combo platters were served faster than a meal at Taco Bell, I realized the food wasn't freshly made, and I was right. Everything had clearly been microwaved. I used to love this restaurant, but my recent experience was disappointing. The chips were stale, and the cheese dip was so thick and lumpy that it held its shape even when turned upside down. The waitress was inattentive; despite being the only customers, we had to ask for drink refills and our bills. One of my sons received his refill, but my other son’s drink was left on the bar. I ordered a small margarita but ended up with a medium, which cost $7.99. We also ordered fried ice cream, but it was Superman flavor instead of vanilla. The rest of our meals were as described on the menu, but the rice was bright orange, cold, and had some hard bits in it. Our server was incredibly inattentive; she never checked in on us or asked if we needed any refills. After bringing out our food, she ignored us until the end of our meal. When we finally expressed our disappointment to her, she simply walked away.
When it was time for the bill, the manager did take $2 off the salad and offered another 15% discount, which we accepted, but it felt inadequate. We just didn't want to deal with it any longer. We used to love this place as our go-to Mexican restaurant, but not anymore. We won't be coming back.
We decided to stop by and take a look. The place was clean and nicely decorated. I can't quite understand why it wasn't busier on a Saturday night. The waitress could have been a bit more attentive, but she still did her job. I ordered the street pork taco, and I must say, it was probably the best taco I've ever had. It was just fried pork in a soft taco, with no sauces or condiments, but the pork was incredibly soft and moist. I found the place to be quite enjoyable and a hidden gem in Covington. Plus, their beer was cold!

On a Tuesday, which happens to be Taco Tuesday, your signs indicate that you're open for business, yet the door is locked. It's now 11:37 AM.
It's fantastic! While the food could be improved a bit, the service is excellent, and that's what really counts for me.
One of the best places to eat in Miami County. I am partial to their arroz con pollo with flan for dessert. Yummy!
