Once we received our treats, we headed toward the interstate. This was when I decided to try their cold brew, and wow – it had the bold bitterness I love. Some places shy away from strong flavors, but Guest House did not. After a few sips, I sampled my peanut butter cookie and found it disappointing. I expected it to be soft, but instead, it was hard, crumbly, and dry. I wondered if warming it up before serving could improve its texture because I would have loved to enjoy it with some milk for dipping. The staff is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and personable. There’s plenty of seating, with several areas available in the building: the main area near the counter, a smaller back room, and a larger side room. The side room can also be rented for events. I held my bridal shower here and had a fantastic experience! The staff was helpful and communicative throughout the planning process. The rental fee for the room even includes a selection of pastries for the guests. I’ll definitely be stopping by whenever I’m back in town!
Brought my preschooler up from Springfield to see how she did riding Amtrak. She did wonderfully, as did Guest House. Both the cold brew and espresso were delicious, as were all four of the different delectable deserts we tried. We ended up with more time until our return train than we planned for, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to relax and wait it out. Their couch was so comfortable by daughter even took a nice nap while I drank a couple of espresso drinks.
The Guesthouse is great and the staff is even better! We stopped in with a large group for coffee before leaving town and they were so awesome! There were some fun nooks to sit and read in. The prices are fabulous and the coffee was some of the best I’ve had. We didn’t eat any of the pastries but they looked yummy!

Everyone is so sweet and today I had 2 dollars and my total was 2 something cents (it was for a cake pop) and the person payed for it himself. Everyone there is so sweet and kind, the atmosphere is amazing I always love being here. Great place to meet up and have a chill day when it’s amazing outside as well.
Without a doubt, the best pumpkin bar I’ve ever had! I actually drove back just to get a second one. Please consider opening a guest house in Normal!
