We couldn't help but laugh on our way out because it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we've had in ages—almost a decade! We didn't even want to eat the food. The quality was unfortunately very low; the rice was overcooked and mushy, while the vegetable curry and Thukpa lacked flavor and had very few vegetables. Each dish had an odd taste that we just couldn't identify. Even the naan was disappointing—definitely not enjoyable. The service matched what others have mentioned; it was lacking and unresponsive. I ordered the samosas and they were hot and delicious—so good that I ended up getting another serving! The chicken vindaloo was excellent, featuring plenty of tender chicken, perfectly cooked tomatoes, and nice soft potatoes. We discovered this restaurant by chance during our visit (we're from out of town), and I'm really glad we did! It offered a wide range of options to accommodate the various dietary needs of our group, which can be quite challenging. The atmosphere was cozy, and even the dishware was unique! Ordered Kadai Paneer and Garlic Naan. Kadai Paneer was flavourful but different style, it was more like a starter than gravy. Garlic naan was very yummy. Staff were good as well. Me and my friend went to GURU'S RESTAURANT after 6 hrs hike. Food was really tasty and have authentic taste. Samosas were homemade and it was so good. Over priced and food quality is below average. Chicken vindaloo is full of vinegar and smells bad , veg pakora is full of oil
