we stopped at lunch yesterday because we were in the opposite. We never ate here, but we both died for a fried chicken. we have an okra rating and it tasted like fresh homemade quality and then our main dishes came. I'll tell them this could be the best roasted chicken we've ever eaten. the meat is perfectly diceed and the brot is also super delicious. it has enough warmth to let them know that it is there, but do not overdo the taste. my wife and I turned at the same time after the first bite and were only confused. it is certainly a destination restaurant for us and we go back from our way and eat here again.
this place is simply delicious. krispy always fresh chicken and sides. the staff is very friendly and goes beyond and beyond. I have ordered to go to eat and also to dinate. I love how the kitchen employees talk to each other to keep each other motivated when it is busy. I was standing on the kitchen waiting for my order and heard the cooks that said we got this, we are almost finished with the hurry. try this place when they are looking for a friendly service and an excellent huh.
My highway mowing crew decided almost unanimously to make this our dinner stop for the night. With world famous on the sign, we had to find out for ourselves. We were greeted and seated promptly! Our waitress had fun and took great care of us.The chicken was phenomenal! The spice is great and not too hot. Slaw and beans were delicious. Highly recommend the Chess and or Chocolate Chess pie!All in all a delightful experience, we'll definitely be back!
sam was our waiter and he is a money young man. very attentively ensured that we take care of it. great service. eating was delicious! all fresh and hot directly from the frit. the baked beans were tasteful. the chicken was juicy and too perfection spiced! beautiful and crisp. also love the old music. big parts. spoke with the new general manager karon, very friendly and helpful. that is a good place to go. Absolutely my fave fried chicken. Consistent quality. Love the hot spiciness of the batter it's fried in. Seriously recommend the fried pickles and the old school mac and cheese. The greens are hit or miss, and if you're a fan of traditional southern greens they often don't quite hit and are bitter. Still, have never had a bad meal from this place. My go-to for fried chicken.
I like the set up as soon as I walked in, its cozy. Cool pageantry all around, seems clean.I ordered the 2pc white with mac&cheese and fries.The chicken was delicious! Not dry one bit, perfect spice. No complaints. We were given a Gus’ cup too for being first timers from outta town.This business started in Memphis and also has a few locations in the L.A. area.
Everything we ate was delicious. If you love a southern home cook meal this is the place to go to. The chicken was delicious, Fried okra, fried green tomatoes, Mac cheese, and the sweet potato pie was excellent. It’s a friendly atmosphere it’s worth trying. Thank You for excellent service. I’m definitely coming back.
I ordered thru door dash. I paid for an all-white meat chicken dinner, but they substituted a drumstick for a wing. I found the chicken to be much too hot and spicy. The chocolate chess pie was more like a brownie than anything else. It was just fair. Réservez une table maintenant
