We stopped for lunch yesterday while passing through the area. Although we had never eaten here before, we were both craving fried chicken. We ordered the okra as an appetizer, which tasted fresh and homemade. When our main dishes arrived, I have to say, the roasted chicken might be the best we've ever had. The meat was perfectly tender, and the broth was incredibly flavorful—it had just the right amount of warmth without being overpowering. My wife and I exchanged looks after the first bite, both amazed by how good it was. This restaurant is definitely a must-visit for us, and we plan to come back again soon.

My highway mowing crew nearly all agreed to make this restaurant our dinner stop for the evening. With "world famous" on the sign, we had to check it out for ourselves! We were quickly greeted and seated, and our waitress was both friendly and attentive. The chicken was outstanding—perfectly seasoned and not too spicy. The coleslaw and beans were also tasty. I highly recommend trying the Chess pie or the Chocolate Chess pie! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be coming back!
This is the best fried chicken I've ever tasted! The regular chicken has a delightful spicy kick. The chicken tenders are exceptional, and even without the spicy seasonings, they're still amazing. I can't overlook the fried green tomatoes—they're fantastic! The service was excellent, and I had a wonderful lunch.
I have to be honest; the chicken didn't taste very fresh. The mac and cheese was a bit dry and could use more seasoning. On the bright side, the potato salad was delicious, and the pie was absolutely fantastic.
