Thankfully, we had a reservation. Gustav’s was very busy, there was a line to get in. We were eating there one more time before it closes July 11. It seems many others had the same idea. Our food was delicious and our server was great even though he was very busy. What to know before you go: Make a reservation. The menu online is not current. Because it’s closing, Gustav’s menu is limited. But we found options that we wanted and all were delicious. Apple strudel is the dessert offered. Order fondue! If the menu had not been limited, our rating would have been a 5. We will miss Gustav’s!
This is actually my very first time trying the German cuisine, and I must say, I am BLOWN AWAY. I'm not a fan of alcohol so I wont be commenting on the beer (not too bitter for my taste), but the sausage trio, the foudue and the pork St.Moritz schnitzel(perfect dish for a meat lover like me btw)?Those are love at first bites! Sadly, by the time I publish this review, Gustav and Biergarten should already be closed, the original restaurant in Sandy however, should be still opening. We made reservations for the main dining room, but were seated at a small bar table next to the service door. Our waitress was slow to take our drink and appetizer order, and we had to wait until after we had finished our appetizer for the drinks to arrive. The main meal was barely warm when it was finally served.
