Gut Kaltenbrunn By Käfer

First disclaimer: we ate at the beer garden rather than the restaurant. I think you're really paying for the view and to be able to park so close to that view. 3 hours parking for guests to enjoy the northern view of Lake Tegernsee is great. That said, the food itself felt underwhelming. We were a group of 7 and we ordered different things, and no one loved their lunch. It was all perfectly adequate. But when you're paying €20 for a small chicken burger (no chips or sides), man, it better be a pretty incredible chicken burger to be worth it (it wasn't). My currywurst was also done the sad way, smothered in tomato sauce and just a slight dusting of curry powder so meagre that I barely tasted...

Beer garden: long queue, which would not be bad if you would get what's on the map. However, if the dish is not available (because it is still cooked), then it will be necessary to set up again later for a good time. This is a “no go”! Small tip: Record names and then call out when the food is ready (applies in every starbuck, so should not be hard). All in all very nice ambience and what we ate was very good.

We had a cozy and delicious dinner at the Gut Kaltenbrunn on Lake Tegern. The table reservation has worked perfectly. We had a table in the heated outdoor area (heating worked well, it was warm enough to sit comfortably). Very friendly and attentive service. Food was really delicious. And the view of the lake is of course great. We like to come back!

Romantic ambience on the picnic meadow in the beach basket and on the ceiling. We had a picnic basket assembled, with Bavarian specialties and enjoyed the sunset over Lake Tegern. The dishes and drinks were sufficient and delicious. We were only in the self-service area, not in the restaurant! Réservez une table maintenant

We had a great table in the shade at the restaurant. The service was extremely good, very friendly and accommodating and for the number of many guests fast. The food was great! The price is justified, the quality of the products and the preparation were great. View!!! Ingenious

Always worth a visit! I brought my friend to tegernsee and we had lunch here as she wanted kaiserschmarren which I think it’s one of the best here. The food was excellent and so was the service, views on the lake included. Very dog friendly too.

Very nice restaurant with an ambience at the lake that can be seen. Excellent drinks and food. Were on the terrace overlooking the Tegernsee and also had a very friendly upper. A little higher price.

We ordered to pick up by phone and were able to pick up our order 15 minutes later. Very delicious food that we enjoyed at home. Thank you

Extremely well positioned by the lake. Perfect spot for a tasty get-away, boosted by good beer, food and nice personnel.
