A hidden secret as away from the main tourist hot spots hidden down a back lane.Great food off a reasonably priced menu but the joy was the wine.Made on the premises with definite skill and dedication.As we had the car the opportunity to fully load could not be missed. 2017 Reisling Kabinett Trocken E7 a bottle (silver preismunze). 2017 Spatburgunder-Rotwein-Halbtrocken E8 a bottle and a real cracker Reisling Spatlese-Halbtrocken (bronze preismunze) E9.5. Absolute steal for the quality and the noted much used watering hole for the wine trade and growers alike.Not to be missed but not open until noon.

Passing by we saw the famous coffee being served and as it was coffee time we went in to give it a go. We were shown to a seat and placed our order. When the Rudesheim Coffees were brought top us the waiter asked if we had had one before, we had not so as he went through each stage he explained to us what he was doing and told us the best way to hold the cup to drink. Despite having told people all day and continuing to do so after us as to how it's made his friendly demeanour did not waver so the experience and the coffee were both excellent.

after a hike from assmannshausen over the Niederwald monument to rüdesheim you get really thirsty on a glass of wine and a small meal. our secret tip: the weingut phillip. here you will receive nicely, nicely served, yes you will even get a sample swallow from the spoon. in summer it is a white wine, in winter a red wine. and the best, everything is inexpensive and tasted. you get to know other people quickly and who comes back here is guaranteed to come again and again.

already 2 years ago during a day trip to rüdesheim led and a friend in this weingut and we aren then enthusiastic . and when we arrived on Sunday, we immediately searched and found it again and then experienced beautiful hours there again

we always arrive at our visit in rüdesheim here. nice and rustic bargain economy. tasty and deftige petty to wine. very good price management ratio. in any case worth a visit.
