I called up a couple of weeks before to book; my father in law is pre diabetic so I wanted to see if it was possible for them to accommodate us at all. The owner (I think) was amazing and made a substitute for the cakes and the scones. He also explained everything to us when we arrived and made sure that we had enough tea and we were happy. Even without all the extra effort he had gone to, to accommodate us, my husband and I said it was the best cream tea we had ever had. It was really well put together without being pretentious and they were very welcoming to our dog too. Absolutely recommend!

We had an amazing Afternoon Tea here and would thoroughly recommend. We've had other Afternoon Teas at other venues but this has to top them all with the whole experience from start to finish a real delight. The whole display of food and tableware was brilliant and would love to visit again when we're next in the area.

Today we visited this restaurant for afternoon tea and it was absolutely lovely. The variety of food was impressive and they even packed up the leftovers for us. The place is also filled with charming little finds, like a treasure trove. I highly recommend this place and will definitely return in the future.

Found it almost by accident on visiting the gift shop, had coffee and a cream tea, liked it so much we went back next day and had a panini. Lovely people running things. Well worth its No.1 position. Réservez une table maintenant

Lovely spot for lunch! Super friendly and the food was delicious (had to also sample the cakes! . They have a cute outdoor seating area too which is secluded and so peaceful. 100% recommend!

Stopped for lunch. We had a panini, soup quiche. All were lovely fresh, tasty food nicely presented. The staff were very welcoming friendly. No surprise that Grundy is top rated.

Unquestionably the cleanest and friendliest cafe in town, if not the world, with the tastiest Welsh Cakes ever. Well done to the owners and staff.

Nice people,£22.95 per person, extortionate price really for an afternoon tea, worst thing, stale brown bread,easily avoidable. Never again ! Réservez une table maintenant

Lady owner very rude , there smelly dog in cafe .... Food basic ...... Cafe needs a good clean, Saw lots of ants near the cakes .
