As many other reviewers have mentioned, Gypsy 's Trattoria Italiana is a Berkeley spin! It was always one of the most affordable Italian restaurants throughout the Bay Area; Hell I'd even say in California. And given its not a chain restaurant (such as Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill), you're always a unique experience all at a very affordable price that 't break the bank. This place is located in the heart of Berkeley on Durant Ave with Telegraph Ave the next crossing. This special area is practically impossible to find parking places so it is best to come here on foot, bicycle, Uber/Lyft, AC Transit or BART. I wasn't sure if I was to rate this place 4 or five stars. This Restuarant has great Italian cuisine, but the important aspect of this place is its location. It is in an excellent location for Berkeley students to take Italian food without going to some chic Italian Restuarant. The prices are great for the type of food you receive, and for the amount you receive. There is usually a big line, and tables can sometimes be scarce, but that should not stop people from going to this place. There are not many places in Berkeley for fast Italian cuisine, so I highly recommend this place. In my opinion, your calzone is also a ridiculous size for the price. So if you like Calzone!
Authentic Italian cuisine served in an incredibly fast fashion. They really have chosen their recipes and prep process. It is no wonder that they won Best Italian Cuisine in Berkeley every year since they opened 30 years ago. I've been here for years and I've never been disappointed. They have a wide range of seafood, beef, chicken and vegetarian dishes. But best is their signature sauces, they have the best pesto I've ever had and their gorgonzola sauce is amazing. And each dish served with 1 or 2 pieces of roasted garlic bread.
if you want fast, delicious, cheap Italian – Gypsies is the place to get it in Berkeley. It's not a good food, but it can surely meet the place if you're hungry.

Delicious, cook to order Italian food. Very quick and friendly service. Very reasonable price. It is a very popular neighborhood of Italian food.

Maybe I have a clogged palate, but everything I can really say is Calzones: huge and ingenious, that is worth everything else: poop.
Not bad, but the bread and the sauce of it is much better than the noodles and the toppings. I prefer a 3.5.
