I am absolutely blown away by how great of a bang for your buck this place is. The lunch menu set that includes a full bowl of salad, soup, rice, and a choice of two (or three) meats fills you right up for only around $20 CAD with tax and tip. By Montreal standards, this is an absolute bargain, especially given how delicious the meal is. The restaurant is also incredibly generous. You can also get a good portion of spring rolls for free by simply checking in on Yelp. After every meal, you can earn points on the Gyu-Kaku app which you can use to redeem free food. Although it is a little pricey, the food is delicious and the service is great (really nice staff) so it's definitely worth it! If you like meat, then you will like this place for sure! They also have a variety of drinks and they are also very good! 100% will go back and recommend!
Great place to go! If you is a passionate from Japonese BBQ, you must try it! Good service and a delicious food. Everything had so much quality. The price is ok for the level of the service and food, it's not a cheap restaurant, but it's definitely worth it.
her service was excellent! Actually I forgot my debit card in the restaurant and one of the waiters running outside in the freezing temperature and gave it to me! it was amazing! great staff! many thanks for their quality! I strongly recommend here.

We reserved for a large group and we're seated quickly, served a steady stream of delicious foods (some of which was ready to eat and some of which we barbequed on our table barbeque. The drinks were amazing. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and the restaurant is clean with friendly service. The quality of the meat is excellent. We particularly enjoy the beef, including the sirloin and New York steak, as well as all the other meat options.
Portion sizes might be slightly smaller since the lockdown, but the food at Gyu-Kaku has always been consistently satisfying. On top of that, the service is outstanding.
Felt like I was being price gouged. Not enough food for the price tag. Was still hungry afterwards.
