We made a reservation for dinner and were seated quickly. Our food arrived shortly after we placed our order, and everything was excellent—from the dishes to the service. I couldn't find any faults. This time, we had a better table, which made a significant difference, so I’m giving it an extra star for that. I had been looking forward to trying out this restaurant. While the food was decent, the portion sizes, aside from the salmon, were quite small considering the prices. It may not be the best Japanese restaurant in Perth, but the service was very attentive. One drawback was our seating near the entrance; the Uber drivers picking up takeout were quite impatient and kept bothering the wait...
I had a fantastic experience with the communication between the customer and the owner. They kept me updated at every step of the booking process via email, which I really appreciated. The service was incredibly attentive, and the food presentation was excellent. I particularly enjoyed the duck and eggplant with Madeira sauce; the meat was so tender, but I wish there had been more of it. The same goes for the sashimi; it was delicious but a bit pricey for the portion size. However, everything else was outstanding—the wagyu beef tataki, blue spot emperor, and dessert were all amazing. Overall, it made for a great date night!
This was my first time dining here, and I was intrigued by the concept of Japanese tapas—something I really enjoy. I was not disappointed; the food was excellent and offered a wide variety of options. The atmosphere was cozy, which added to the experience. However, I would recommend avoiding the tables near the kitchen and bar area (I believe table 14) as it became quite crowded with delivery drivers picking up orders, and I didn’t find it visually appealing. Overall, it was a pleasant evening, and I look forward to returning, just not to table 14! Thank you for a lovely night.
The food was delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the duck with aubergine! However, the portion sizes were a bit small, so if you're feeling hungry, I recommend ordering some rice or noodles to fill you up. I appreciated that they offered a few warm gourmet options, as most places only serve cold dishes. I did think the slices of sashimi could have been thicker; I've had thicker sashimi at similar price points elsewhere. Réservez une table maintenant
Great dishes with great service! The food was delicious, but the standout for me was the Wagyu beef tataki. The fried root vegetables are a great complement to any order! The waitress was very helpful in estimating rice portions and knowing which dishes would be on the salty side. Everything was great but I think the scallops should be a little more to the raw side, still delicious though!
The food and service at this restaurant were outstanding. The fresh ingredients made everything incredibly flavorful! The ebi prawns were exceptional, and all the other dishes were just as delightful. They also have a fantastic variety of alcoholic beverages. Even though the staff was a bit short that day, they were attentive and quick. I highly recommend this place!
