This place is hands down my least favorite Indian food restaurant. The flavor of the food was completely missing. We ordered a platter of appetizers which had samosas, veggie fritters and we subbed tandoori chicken. This was accommodated however the chicken was dry and did not taste or feel freshly roasted. The taste reminded me of a hotdog. The other components also lacked any flavors. We had saag paneer which was also poorly seasoned. The paneer was barely warm, the Dahl makhani had sparse amounts of Dahl. The gravy was quite thin which occurred to me that it has not been simmering for very long or was watered down. Haandi is not just my favorite Indian restaurant, but my favorite restaurant all together. The staff is kind and thoughtful, and the food is spectacular. It's a beautiful interior and all around great dining experience. I've been many, many times, have sampled the full menu and have enjoyed everything I've tried. The curries are packed with flavor with generous portions. I can recommend the Methi Chooza as a personal favorite- it's a decadent and rich curry with a unique spice profile. Haandi is a wonderful Indian restaurant located in Falls Church! When I went there I got the Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Makhani, and Hyderabadi Aloo Do Pyaza with garlic naan and rice. All the dishes tasted great and we enjoyed our experience dining there. The service was very nice and we didn't have to make a reservation ahead of time as they have a lot of room inside the restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is a nice ambient lit restaurant and makes you feel very comfortable. The food tasted authentic and the varieties of different curries offered were cool to see.
I've been going to Haandi at least once a week for several years now. They do a great job with everything from matar paneer and saag murgh to baingan bharta and more complicated entrees. It's the only restaurant where everyone in our family has a favorite dish they're thrilled to eat. When we have friends in from out of town, we almost always get Haandi, too, because the food is so reliable--and the takeout portions are enormous. The staff is friendly and knows us by name. It's a pleasure to eat at Haandi.

This food is delicious! After living in Falls Church many years I couldn't say why I had never tried this restaurant before. Recently on a Sunday night we had an opportunity to eat there. The lamb chops were truly amazing. Butter curry chicken as well. The food is plentiful, luckily we had leftovers. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy, very friendly staff, it felt like a family restaurant. If you are thinking of eating there, just go, and take your family!
Ordered on DoorDash. Very slow delivery. And apparently, not the drivers mistake. Chicken tikka masala was very sweet. The chicken as such was flavorful and succulent. But the curry was below par. Also, the rice to chicken ratio is not optimum. They serve very less rice for the amount of curry served. Seekh kabab tasted old. It was dry and lacked flavor.
Delighted to find that at noon on a workday, there was no real wait and my hot and delicious Channa Pindi was ready in 10 minutes. Friendly staff ensured my entree was vegan. Good amount of food for the price. It's take out for me today, but I can see dining in would be a lovely experience. Just look at this interior !! YES: Vegan friendly
This has been a family favorite for decades! It did not disappoint this most recent visit! The food is always flavorfully divine! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Sometimes there can be long wait times, but we lucked out this visit. They always have lovely ambient music playing in the background.

Great food! The service is always amazing and the portions are perfect. Sometimes the timing of the food coming can take a moment, but it's worth it!
We've only ever done takeout from Haandi but it's been delicious every time! Their lamb korma is the best I've ever had. Definitely give it a try!
