We happened to come across this gem of a restaurant while exploring Peniscola on our last day there. So we decided to have our last dinner in Peniscola at the Hacianda Cabeza de Toro Restaurant and it turned out to be a delightful experience. We were treated to an evening of personal service from our chef, Martin'. He diced, sliced and then showed us all the veggies before preparing them. As he prepared our meal he sang and talked and laughed us to a wonderful culinary experience. The menu is a simple one, but what it lacks in choices, it makes up in fantastic and flavorful cuisine. We have been staying in Peniscola for 5 days, eating out at lunchtime and dinner. This has got to be the worst restaurant that we have eaten in. The drinks took forever to arrive and actually came after the meal was served. The meal came as 2 separate parts, instead of 1 amd both parts were tasteless and greasy. The sangria we ordered could have been fruit juice. We should have realized something was wrong as there were only 3 other tables that were occupied. We told the waitress we were not happy and her response was, I will get you your bill! I advise you to not waste your money!
We happened to come across this restaurant while walking to the beach during the day. We returned for dinner. Martin greeted us immediately when we entered. He has the most upbeat and warm spirit! He kept us entertained and laughing while waiting for our meal. The food arrived and I have to say it surpassed my expectations. The menu looks very simple but the nachos, chicken fajitas and guacamole we’re excellent! Again, Martin and the staff’s personalities alone made our dining experience that much greater! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Lovely atmospheric restaurant right on the sea front at Peniscola, they made our family very welcome and the food was fantastic, the atmosphere is helped by great music that fits the theme Of the restaurant. I would go back and would recommend to a friend.

Very cosy restaurant with attention to detail. I really loved a beer garden, which has got so many different settings, so everyone can find their perfect spot to chill. And the food was really delicious. Highly recommend!
Very successful decoration, what we ate was good, but there were only pigs and nachos with guacamole anything else (until Holy Week) and we could only pay in cash this is the least that got me.
Lovely quirky decor. Friendly staff and good food. Nachos with cheese and spicy tomato salsa. Mixed fajitas and a chilli con carne.
Never open when it claims to be. Staff are always inebriated. Often have only half the menu available when they do decide to open.
