Hahndorf's Fine Chocolates - Upper Ferntree Gully

No wonder it is the all time favourite coffee and chocolate shop for those who know!! Well located opposite the Upper Ferntree Gully tourist information centre and weekend market , near the train station, so close to Australia's best Kokoda Trail training ground.. it attracts large groups of cyclists, bush walkers and locals! Everyone gets a piece of complimentary fine chocolate for every drink you buy! Each fine chocolate would retail $2 in shops!! Not only that, I find the biggest winning deal being the ice coffee. It is always good confirmation when the outside area is full of cyclists as they seem to know good coffee places.The quaint shop on the corner with tables out front, tables inside (seating 24) and an area at the back outside that was packed with cyclists. The chocolate range is a good one.Very good coffee and a limited food range plus desserts is the basis of the cafe.Service was prompt and friendly, and the tables were clean and tidy.

After completing the 1000 steps and having lunch, I decided to visit Hahndorf's Fine Chocolates to pick up some chocolates. Were they fine? Yes, they were. I tried the passion fruit ones and some chocolate mousse ones and they were absolutely delicious with coffee. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, so this should say it all.

Friendly staff always welcoming, great service, delicious chocolates & wonderful coffees/teas. Could do with a few more selection of cakes.
