Halfway House Inn Country Lodge

Great find, on our way to Cornwall from Suffolk did an overnight at this great hotel and pub. From arrival to departure the staff were friendly and professional making us feel so welcome, they could definitely give lessons to other establishments in the hospitality industry in the value of customers, just brilliant service. Excellent food and chat in the pub which is dog friendly and very people friendly. Ample, secure, free parking and clean spacious accommodation with the added bonus of a lake to walk around. We stayed in a family room, which was more like a mini chalet. We had our own front door outside, and there was a double bed with shower/bathroom downstairs followed by 2 single beds upstairs. The room was very clean, and the beds were super comfy. There was hardly any noise at night time, which led to a good night's sleep. Breakfast was delicious with a simple menu, but we'll cook. We had our own table each day. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Lots of free parking and easy to find.

I can't speak to the rooms since we didn't stay there, but we found this place while returning from Weymouth and it was a great discovery. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have stopped here under normal circumstances, but the service and the Sunday roast carvery were impeccable. The meat was cooked perfectly, and there was an abundance of vegetables available to help ourselves. I would definitely recommend it. Service: 5, Location: 4.

We stopped at the Halfway House Hotel with 100 other Solihull Moors fans on our way to the FA Cup match against Yeovil Town. Our pre-ordered pints were ready for us upon arrival, and we enjoyed a delicious lunch of sausage and chips provided by the staff. It's a lovely place with a great selection of beers, friendly service, and a delightful cup of tea! Highly recommended!

We only went for dinner, so we can’t speak about the rooms. However, the atmosphere was lovely, the food was incredible, and the portion sizes were impressive. Steve, the owner, is fantastic! £85 per room per night seems like a good deal. They have decent beer at the bar on tap, full English breakfast and a big car park at the back for mobile homes and camper vans. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5 Réservez une table maintenant

It's a wonderful place to stay if you're visiting the western region. It's very affordable and includes a delicious cooked breakfast. I will definitely be returning!
