Hamburguesas is one of the most overlooked and underrated burger places in the Twin Cities in my opinion. With Matt's only a block away, I would easily choose Hamburguesas over it nine times out of ten. I can't speak to their other food as I haven't tried it, and I have to admit their fries are not great (I'm a fan of really crispy fries, which these are not, at least in my experience). However, the horchata and burgers are excellent. My go to is del Gordo, which has all the usual burger toppings plus bacon, avocado and pickled peppers. Try it and you won't regret it. The atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but the staff are incredibly friendly, and I've found the burgers to be great...
I ate my Hamburgesa Cubano with my eyes closed, it was truly THAT good. I can't believe that I've never been here in my 5 years living in the Twin Cities! Service, food, everything was awesome. And I know it might seem pricey for a burger, but trust me...no chain restaurant or regular ol' bar grill can compete with this. Just go there, okay?! (oh, and skip the fries you won't have room for them anyway ?)Parking: No parking lot, but free parking in the lot next door on the weekends and after 6pm M F. Otherwise street parking.
I ordered two classic cheeseburgers around 10pm on July 24, 2023, but received two cheeseburgers with pork and pineapple instead. I tried calling the restaurant, but it was closed. The next morning, on July 25, 2023, I returned to the restaurant and the lady working there informed me that it was a night shift issue and she was unable to help me. It is important for restaurants to cater to customers with dietary restrictions, including religious and allergy-related restrictions.
We stopped in for lunch and we’re happy that we did. We had the northeno tacos and the Del Gordo burger. The tacos were good, not great as the tortilla wasn’t warmed and rice felt like day old rice. The Del gordo burger was really good with fresh and plentiful toppings. The service was fast and the people working were great and very friendly. We’ll definitely be back soon for the burgers.

I love their food, hate ordering from this place. It is insanely disorganized how things are done. There is one women, who is sweet, that is slammed running around to take phone orders, take care of walkins, and help package and inspect the food.I feel bad being there and each time I come I have to wait at least 5-10 minutes for her to be free to hand me my food.
I placed a fairly large online order and the food was ready at the time it was supposed to be. The food was hot and delicious.This is our #1 go to for tacos and burgers. The service is always done with a smile. When you dine in they put an extra effort to get your food to you fast, fresh and hot.Thank you Cedar Ave.
This is my top choice for burgers in Minneapolis. It's a hidden gem that doesn't get enough credit. The atmosphere may not be fancy, but it beats waiting 45 minutes at Matt's or the 5-8 Club, both of which are just around the corner from Gordo's.
We tried all five tacos and each one was excellent in its own way! The only downside was the small and hot space. Definitely get it to go, but the food will not disappoint you! Food: 5/5.
