Visited 27th of Dec 7 adults 3 kids. Food (mains) where a mixed bag the fish was good, katsu curry Sandwich good, steak sandwich ice cold was like rubber! However the desserts the worst sticky toffee pudding I have ever tried! Seriously so bad. They need to take it off the menu! It had zero toffee sauce, maybe a sooonful of custard. The cake itself was so dry. I understand it’s the 27th and you e maybe been closed for 2 days but even the server said they had tons of complaints about it but the person who does the menu refused to change it. Criminal. Our server was good he was worked hard that day and refunded us the puddings. But come on guys up the food game!
This was a lunchtime visit using an Itison voucher. Firstly the menu for lunch shown on website just the day before out visit was not the same as the one presented to us, seems menu has changed (as is to be expected as the seasons move on) but however not yet on website. However when challenged on this they, to be fair, did accommodate our request. We had what was actually a lovely meal, beautifully presented and cooked perfectly and thoroughly enjoyed so that overall it was worth visiting. Service was attentive and helpful and appreciated so we would return but just not soon
Very disappointed with Hamiltons which was previously a favourite of ours. My husband was driving but wanted a non alcoholic beet with his dinner, none available on a Saturday night due to supplier issues apparently. His pie of the day was basic to say the least. And to top it all off I was over charged £8 for my bowl of mussels! This was refunded without a problem but just as well we checked the bill.
Six of us had a late lunch (Saturday) at Hamiltons. It was busy with a really good vibe (families with babies/kids next to us, couple of dogs nearby, etc. so they seem to cater for all in a good way). Service was great with a bit of banter. Wine, beers, fish and chips, burgers and charcuterie board. All excellent. Plates were all cleared. Will definitely return. Thanks for a great meal.

Tried to order one round of drinks at the bar last night, no one was waiting to be served at the time. Was asked to order at our table but was not told about the £8 service charge to do so!! To be charged £52 for two beers, two large glasses of wine and two soft drinks was actually taking the ****. Will never return.
Used to be a great place for food but has really went downhill. The steak sandwich was cold and the meat barely cooked. My parents didn’t enjoy their fish either. There was more dough than fish. The desserts were poor as well. Service was fine but the food really let it down. I won’t go back.
Pretty much everything was very undercooked, it was so bad I wondered if the chef was absent. I can't recommend this place to anyone, other than maybe a drink at the bar. 2 stars awarded are for the friendly staff. Comfort, quality of food, value for money are the 3 missing stars.
Will never return Food totally overpriced, especially the steak pie (very small) accompanied only by one slice of carrot, one slice of parsnip and a thin stalk of broccoli. No potatoes or chips!! £16 Average service and a shocking 12.5% service charge!

We really enjoyed our time in Hamiltons . Delicious food! All 7 of us were very happy! Service was great as well! Went there again yesterday, November 10th 2023, and had a fantastic meal as well!
