So, how was it? asks an acclaimed Zomato reviewer (you know who you are!) 'So darn delicious I'm having flashbacks...' should have been the response, instead, the 80's rock lingo meets copyrighted the world over phrase of 'You Betcha, so good' (KFC, some soya milk brand) was the opening pre review salvo.  If this first para seems pointlessly over the top, well, you know, get over it, you're probably right, but its just amazing what words and language we choose and use to describe and thrive, and how much of a buzz it can be seeing it all come together... Hannichi has two locations in Chermside Westfield, and on this evidence it's super fast service will be, if it isn't already, as famous as its Kay's Chicken (****.5) This chook-tastic tasting bowl of chicken, rice, vegetables (asteroid-esque chunks of tomato and lettuce) plus a legendary special sauce - Kay's - is a magnificent mouthful. Sadly, not enough of it, however, and it leaves Kays Special a bit dry as you get lower down the tub. Huge portions available in three sizes - great taste, great value and a lovely (if somewhat sweet) Lemon tea (****.5) to wash it down with.

Hanaichi is one of my go-to for lunches at Westfield Chermside. The service is quick and friendly and the food takes a reasonable time to be prepared. The food tastes amazing, like all Hanaichis. My only complaint is that not enough meat is put in.

I always get the Jap Curry with separate sauce! The ones at Chermside are much more generous with meat as opposed to the CBD Hanaichi Wintergarden and McArthur Central
