There was no one in the store except one person waiting for an order. Before I could reach the register, a young lady stated loudly, I hope they don 't come in at 12:58 PM expecting to get sandwiches. I looked at the clock, it was 12:58 PM and saw a small sign far behind the register saying Grill closes at 1:00 PM with the 1:00 PM handwritten over another time that must have been on the sign. I visited this establishment on a whim; it was the closest eatery within walking distance. I went inside and was a bit perplexed by the layout of the store; there was a pickup area near the entrance and an order window near the rear of the store.Regardless I was too smitten by hunger to delve further into the layout; I stood on the growing order line ahead of me, and when I got to the window, there were menus everywhere on the walls and handwritten notes taped next to some menus to indicate if an item was out of stock. Just moved into the area and found this place down the road. I went soon after they opened and there was already a line. I didn't have to wait long, and as I only ordered bagels, I was in and out in less than 3-4 minutes. The bagels were warm, slightly crispy on the outside and extremely soft and chewy on the inside. I will definitely be coming here again for more bagels!

Best bagels in New Hyde Park! Place is always packed but the line moves quickly. I love that they make egg sandwiches some bagel spots only have spreads. They have mini bagels and they will scoop out a regular bagel you if you are watching your carbs.
There was a lot of cross contamination between the bagels at this restaurant. I ordered a variety of 15 bagels and while they were very dense and fluffy, many had a garlicky flavor. A picture of a cinnamon raisin bagel even showed garlic remnants.
I just went in there for the first time today about a half hour app. The young woman behind the counter was so nice and generous. Thank you so much!!!The prices are very reasonable and the bagels are as fresh as could be.
