I experienced this chain first in Birmingham last Xmas and it was a great experience. My wife took me to the Peterborough HMBC for lunch on my birthday, last week, and it was a bit of a let down. The staff (Dan of the many piercings) was quick enough to seat us on seriously hard chairs at a small, wooden table. A personable young lady took our drinks order 2 diet cokes, no ice, no lemon. Along came the glasses filled with ice....begin again. Then came the up selling; fries, rings, sauce ..... I ordered a chicken and brie 'burger with cranberry. It was hot and utterly delicious. Great food not great ambience. Everyone was nice and doing their jobs to the max. A little expensive for what it is...
Great service, but the chefs need to learn how to cook a burger, which for a burger joint was really disappointing. Firstly the two Jimmys Farm options weren 't available then the orders got mixed up with the opposite table, twice. Then we had to return one of the burgers twice as they were so over cooked 'burnt ' and very dry that you struggled to cut through it, to top it off they gave 20% off the other tables bill. Polite waitress, but felt so sorry that she was making up for a cook who can 't. In hindsight I should have called the manager as it ruined the day in Peterborough
The staff was very friendly, and the furnishings were quirky and enjoyable. I tried the peanut butter dish and the Baconburger with chili marmalade, and the flavors complemented each other wonderfully. My only critique would be that there was probably too much chili jam, as it dripped onto my hands. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend this place.
Really good burgers with a nice selection of pages and drinks, plus 20% discount for forces and local businesses. Was a few times here and the only thing we have is the service, its not terrible its just very good either and it is the small things that they get wrong, but I guess there is always room to grow or I would have been unhappy with my server.

Delicious burgers and milkshakes! Don’t be deceived by the appearance; the restaurant has plenty of seating, both upstairs and outside. The staff is very friendly as well. This has been the best Handmade Burger Co I have visited so far.
Dark,hidden restaurant. They make weird mixtures and put in the burger. It's too spicy because of all the pepper and sauce with the contents in the hamburger. The fries could be less burnt. However the food looks good.

I have never had a better lamb burger than the one at this restaurant. The fries could be improved with a little more time in the fryer, but overall it is a great place to eat.
Delicious food, great portion sizes and value for money. Their strawberry hardshake was amazing too. Plus bonus points for our amusing table number.
