If I can give it 0 stars I would. Just moved into town and didn?t want to cook tonight so I decided to order from here. I am very familiar with Chinese take outs and most dishes are usually prepared the same from one restaurant to another. I got the sze Chuan and there is nothing spicy about it! The sauce tasted like vinegar and it was extremely sweet. I think they made it with sweet and sour sauce instead and threw in like 3 dried chili peppers to make it ?spicy?. One of the worst take out food ever. Total disappointment as I had to chug water after a few bites because the amount of sugar in the sauce was unbearable
We decided to pick up dinner from Happy Wok, but we won’t be doing it again. We’ve been dining there for five years, and while it hasn’t always been the best food, it used to be consistent. Our usual dinner typically costs around $27. However, tonight we ordered the same as usual, and our bill came to $40. That’s an outrageous price increase. To top it off, they stuffed the container with mustard. From now on, I’ll be counting every penny. I won’t trust their receipts anymore; it’s just not worth it! This experience was at the Lakeside Ave location.
Happy Wok is undoubtedly the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I highly recommend the chicken and eggplant with brown sauce, as well as all of the shrimp dishes. The food is consistently cooked to perfection, fresh, and bursting with flavor—never oversalted. The beef is incredibly tender and truly the best I’ve ever tasted. They also go the extra mile by offering dim sum. If you live on the other side of the lake, making the trip here is definitely worth it!
happy wok is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the opposite. I recommend that the chicken and the aubergine with brown sauce and each of the garnel dishes. the food is always cooked to perfection, and it is fresh and has delicious taste! it's never oversalted. the bark on a floor is very delicate and the best I ever tasted. they also go the extra mile and offer dim sum. if they live on the other side of the lake, it is definitely worth the trip here! My first visit to this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered the coconut chicken and wontons. The coconut chicken was simply cooked in coconut milk and lacked flavor, and the soup wasn't very good either. Overall, I felt that I wasn't getting my money's worth. The food was cold and the portions were small, making it feel like an incomplete meal. I definitely won't be returning for subpar food.
I just happened to stop here with a friend and we got a boneless ribs combo and some chicken wings.... EVERYTHING was terrible besides the egg roll and my peach snapple. The wings tasted old and the boneless ribs were probably the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth... Smh I will not be returning. No shade but this is the worst chinese place in the area
Today we ordered dinner and again they shorted us one dinner. When we came back to show the woman that one of our paid dinners was missing she accused us of lying. We checked the food in the parking lot. I will never go there again. She literally called my daughter a liar in front of all the people waiting outside.
