It was good. Sat on a high table. Our waitress showed herself to take our order, check us once, and bring our check. My husband ordered a burger and said the burger of Paddy's (under the street) was much better. I ordered the pulled pig dinner with onion rings (for a fee) and Koleslaw. The pulled pig was cold and onion rings were not crispy. The Koleslawin was good. We also ordered the Chili Nachos (it is HUGE) so best for more than 2 people, and it is not good if you bring it home to heat up. It's not the same. A lot of money paid for good food. $70 for lunch and two water.
Visit was over the memorial day weekend. On a bright sunny day everyone wanted to sit outside and thus was a bit of wait. Ambience was nice and staff was courteous. We stopped to get a quick lunch so didn't try many dishes. Got chicken sandwich and vegetarian hummus sandwich. Portion size was great. Side of onion ring felt bit smaller than usual in portion. French fries were generous portion. Everything tasted super delicious. Actually loved the vegetarian hummus sandwich. Recommended for a good quality time ...foods and drink.
Great service even when shorthanded. Food was above expectations and the beer was plentiful. The bartender was friendly and helpful. The waitress was by herself with all of the inside tables and we were still well cared for. The cook was actually helping deliver the orders. My Lobster Grilled Cheese was perfect as my first lobster on the trip and everyone at the table was satisfied.
I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant! I ordered the fish and chips, and from looking online, I could not say how good they were, or what they would look like, but I gave them a chance. You were really good! Probably the best I had during my stay in downtown. Service was fast and efficient. I recommend sitting in summer for a little air conditioning.
