I visited Harold's 6 years ago for lunch and thought it was the neatest place downtown. I'm so happy to know that it has continued to Prosper over the years. However I am really disappointed with our experience last night after bragging to my boyfriend about this place. I guess the dynamic now is to order at the bar and then seat yourself- not a big deal but, last night with the upstairs being reserved specifically for a holiday party, there were no tables available. When our food came, even the poor food Runner was aggravated because she had nowhere for us to sit to eat. My boyfriend couldn't get a refill on his soda without standing in line to get back to the bartender and when we were fin...
What an amazing place! The drinks and decor are fantastic! At first, the food options might seem a bit limited, but I believe they are thoughtfully curated. It's all about quality over quantity here. I can confidently say that you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I absolutely loved the veggie nachos—they were incredible, and I'm not even a vegetarian! The staff was friendly and attentive, contributing to a relaxed atmosphere. If you're in search of a great neighborhood spot, look no further. A special shoutout to the manager, Mike (I hope I remembered that correctly), for making our evening so enjoyable!
Great neighborhood spot. Excellent cocktails, a few rotating beers on tap. Rotating seasonal eats that aren’t over-complicated. Relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Order at the bar and take a seat wherever you’d like. Check out the rooftop when the weather is nice. Order the signature cocktail “The salty raccoon” and enjoy the vibe of Harold’s Cabin.
I was visiting for tourism and unexpectedly discovered Harold's while exploring off the main path. The staff were wonderful and ensured my drinks were always topped up. I settled upstairs, which was very relaxing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable spot to sit, enjoy good drinks, and savor delicious, uncomplicated food.

Large bar with three levels. I love sitting on their roof they have this cozy clear bubble that is perfect when it is windy outside. I get super cozy with a book, a cedar, and in any case some of their desserts (made in the house!!!! Sophia is an amazing bartender and made me so welcome when she knew my favorite drink on my third visit.
Weren't you? A must. I almost don't want to share it because I love it so much. The mood was relaxed, the cocktails were refined and delicious, and the playlist was raised. Our bartender, John, was a true master who gave him only a few important words and gave him an amazing cocktail. Hard to find such bartenders.
This place is definitely surprising for its location in the heart of Charleston, but I’m sure that’s exactly what the owner intended. We absolutely loved it! The bartenders were really cool, and we enjoyed the Banana Pudding frozen drink made with bourbon as well as the Salty Raccoon with burnt rosemary.
A unique dining experience. Order your food at the bar, grab your drinks and find a cozy seat. The menu has some incredible choices. We ate upstairs and got to pick the vinyl album to play. The atmosphere is first class and the food was fabulous. 5 stars !!
