Harrigan's Harrington Waters

After we heard good reviews about eating, we checked it tonight and was very disappointed. we ordered brote, garlic and a bruschetta, which were very beautiful and probably the highlight of the evening. mains came, I ordered the mixed grill with maische and vege, which goes to the pub grub. was on average too poor. my steak was overcooked (made instead of medium rare,) black pudding was a small disc and burned on one side, and my maic tasted just like instant maische with kartoffels stirred through, and to round it off, my lamb snell was off. my mother had the special lamb cuts. of course they were sent back and 2 free desserts were accepted...read more

Dec. 28th, 2010 at 9:00 PM My partner and I both come from strained families. As a result, we both proceed as if Christmas is a distant blur until it 's right upon us. That 's how we ended up here Harrigan 's Irish Pub at Harrington on Christmas Eve. You see Tinonee (our actual destination) and Taree (the closest big town to our actual destination) had sold out of accommodation, unless you were prepared to stay at the hotel I dubbed on our last visit the 'Transfats Hotel ' (so close was it to KFC the smell

This restaurant has a stunning setting by the water in Harrington. The atmosphere is lovely. The food was decent, but the chips were cold. Also, the butter served was frozen and crimped. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience.
