Harris's Restaurant

Very casual and new bistro. Very welcoming waitress who worked very hard to service the whole restaurant on her own. Fortunately we came early and got good service but it was definitely deteriorating as the restaurant filled. There was no wine list, justred, white and sparkling. Hard to get a second drink. Small menu but Entrees werereally good and well priced at $14 Most mains were $28 Steak a bit more expensive.Desserts $8 We had the fish of the day Swordfish a nice firm fish nicely cooked andserved with mashed potato and a few spinach leaves with butter & dill sauce. We made reservations for Mother's Day. It was the biggest disappointment with only one vegetarian meal on the menu. Terrible service with confusion amongst staff not knowing what is on the menu. The food was ordinary and I thought it was over priced for the quality, size and the service.I think it was better under the previous management when they used to make wood fired pizza. The alfresco dining area outside has been neglected and left to deteriorate. Very disappointing and sadly this is not somewhere that I would recommend to anyone.

Had a delicious lunch. The food was really great. Lots of variety on menu and value for money. All day breakfast. Very limited drinks - for now. Take away coffee available. Kids meals with ice cream $7. This restaurant has only just opened. Staff was lovely and relaxed but still unfamiliar. Still a few areas needing TLC such as the outside area, which will be great especially for families when tidied up. Car parking out the front and back of restaurant. Look forward to coming back soon as it has great potential.

I have been to Harris's twice now. The first time for a quick coffee and the 2nd for breakfast. The coffee was really good and the staff are all friendly and happy to help. The Breaky was great. There were 4 adults and 5 children and we all loved our meals. The prices are very reasonable and the outdoor area was perfect for the kids to play while we finished our coffees... Highly recommend. Had a delicious lunch at Harris's. We'd been here a few times in the past when it was under different management. It's even better now with delicious lunch, excellent wine by the glass and good prices. We'll definitely be back.

I had the most amazing traditional Greek dishes at Philhellene. For my main courses, I enjoyed their zucchini flowers and silver beet dolmades.
