we were in the gasthof hartlwirt and since our experience was generally positiw in the restaurants that are connected to our accommodations, we hoped that we continued this record. when we set ourselves, the waitress immediately appeared and presented us menus. when she found that the English menus would be beneficial, she took the while leaving the German menus. (We have discovered that there are sometimes dishes that do not appear on the translated menus. she took our drinks and returned immediately with our drinks. (It's in our experience that the waitress takes our drink order and disappears for 10 minutes or more before we bring our drinks. they took our food orders and that was served...
We were staying at a hotel that was about 1 km away. Someone at a plant store recommended the restaurant. We were in luck. Because it is asparagus season, they had many dishes featuring the white asparagus that Austria is noted for. We were so...pleased. Our asparagus appetizer as well as the salmon and asparagus entrees were delicious. Presentation was elegant and our waiter could not have been nicer. Liefring is a nice quiet area to stay with easy access to the heart of Salzburg. If you stay there, give this restaurant a try.
Waren zwei mal während Messebesuch zum Abendessen dort zur Ganslzeit, genossen sehr schmackhaft zubereitete Ganslleber gebacken und als Terrine, Gansl- und Wildschweinbraten waren ebnfalls ganz ausgezeichnet, sowie Kastaniendessert und Käse, waren positiv überrascht, einziges Manko : der Zigarettenrauch stört auch im Nichtraucherbereich
Die Suppe war sauer und die Salate waren verdorben, die Hauptspeisen schmeckten auch nicht, ebenso die Nachspeise. Ein Wahnsinn, wenn man als Gast, die Bedienung darauf aufmerksam machen muss, das das Essen verdorben ist. Normalerweise gehört dieses Restaurant von der Lebensmittelpolizei überprüft .Uns sehen die nicht mehr.

we decided to stay here at night to go on and eat here. my man had the Cordon-Bleu and I had the gay with speck. he said it was in order and a large size compared to normal state restaurants. that was good and had a lot of strength. the apfelstrudel was good with seeing. a little expensive, but a lot to eat.
Der Service war freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Gaststube sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet. Und das bestellte Essen erfüllte voll und ganz meine Erwartungen. Es war nicht herausragend aber ich bin vollauf zufrieden gewesen. Also: Nix zu meckern ;-)
Ein Wirtshaus so wie man es heute noch am Land antrifft: im Stile der 60-er Jahre steckengeblieben, lebt der "Platzhirsch" von einer ausgeprägten Vereinskultur und seinen günstigen Nächtigungsmöglichkeiten.Preise durchwegs im Salzburger Mittelfeld
The food was good in the restaurant and the rooms were good also. Clean. No air-conditioning. Nice to be away from the hustle and bustle.. Free parking

It is a nice location... this hotel/restaurant is located in a green village about 15 minutes from the center.
