Harvey's Swiss Chalet

This location is both popular with the locals plus tourists visiting the area during the summer months. Eat lunch here over the weekend and this place never disappoints me when I am in the area visiting friends. Customer service is consistent along with the good cooked food. You can either have a hamburger and/or chicken depending on your mood to eat. For the Toronto to Sudbury Express bus this is the popular stopping point for a washroom break and/or quick eat stop. The local OPP are even known to have breakfast here on weekends for the start of their stay shift. Don't see any truckers here but guess the parking lot isn't big enough for the huge trucks! Nice stop during our ride from Sudbury or Toronto. It is sometimes crowded in summer but not too bad. It has a parking lot, has a drive through, self order screens and mobile ordering. Once the food wasn’t very fresh and upset our stomach but only once out of 10 times I would say. The washrooms are clean most of the time and they have a family washroom in addition to the men’s and women’s ones. Seating area is big with screens and TVs. The food takes a bit longer to get ready compared to other McDonald’s restaurants.

The McDonald's we visited served delicious food and we enjoyed our lunch there. We also returned later for coffee and sat at the same table, only to find that it hadn't been cleaned since our earlier visit. It's important for restaurants to keep their dining areas clean, not just the kitchen and restrooms. I understand that staffing can be challenging, as my family owned a restaurant for 15 years. It's a lot of work, but it's important to strive for improvement.

This was my first time at a Harveys Swiss Chalet drive through. I was not familiar with the drive through menu board which normally would cause me stress with multi orders. The drive through employee was excellent. Easy to understand and could hear me without having to repeat. So polite and took the time to help me find what i was looking for then confirmed my order totally correct! How it should be but so rare these days. The food was good too. The most organized McDonald's I've seen. On a busy weekend they breezed through the instore pickup list. Everything was well organized. I was shocked. I expected to see the panic and confusion Im used to seeing when its this busy at other stores. Pleasantly surprised.

This is a good sized establishment with typical Harvey's food and a few Swiss Chalet choices. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was hot and properly cooked. Washrooms were a good size and clean. I'd definitely stop here again.

The restaurant is in a great location and tends to be very busy during the summer. Despite the crowds, the service is quick inside, so you don't feel like you're waiting long. However, the drive-thru line can be quite lengthy.

The dining area has been renovated since my last visit three years ago. It is now a clean and well-maintained environment.
