Please read before you goI just ate dinner there and ordered a variety of the skewers. Despite the skewers being tasty, I'm writing about the chicken thighs in particular. They came out slightly undercooked, I spit some out to make sure and it was more pink than it should have been. Since the lighting is so dim and it comes out covered in sauce, you can't really tell if it's fully cooked or not until you eat it. Unfortunately for me, I ate it and it was too late to do anything. I am currently writing this review at 1am because I am writhing in pain due to stomach cramps and a fever. Please beware of their UNDERCOOKED chicken.
You don't need to visit Japan for the best yakitori!!! Hasu will take care of that need right here in Torrance/Gardena. Been coming here since they opened. Very polite Japanese service in a refined atmosphere to go along with a nice selection of yardbird skewers, cuts and small plates. Plus they got Hamachi Kama, grilled yellowtail collar which is a big treat!! Always order a pitcher of ice cold Asahi, just for myself, to wash all that good stuff down......life is good!!

A lovely izakaya tucked away in an unassuming center. The selections are delicious, portioned just right, and very flavorful without overseasoning. The sake selections are fabulous, we haven't had a sake that we didn't like so far. The staff are attentive without hovering too closely. I finally got a chance to bring my partner here with my friends, and he enjoyed it tremendously. We will be back here again many times over.

Just spent two weeks in Japan……Roppongi, Osaka, Hakata………didn’t go for any yakitori the entire trip. Hasu takes care of all my authentic quality yakitori needs so well that I felt no desire to indulge in the skewers over there. Yeah, it ain’t cheap like everything in Japan right now but Hasu is still the best in LA and well worth every yardbird on a stick and plus a great, convenient Torrance location!!
A clean, well decorated, smokeless way to enjoy Yakitori. Arriving at opening, we were already the 3rd table to be seated. We ordered most of the chicken skewers and enjoyed the different types of textures and flavors. My favorites were the chicken tail, neck, skin and beef tongue appetizer. We hope to visit again soon.
Very nice Japanese Yakitori food. The price is reasonable. Especially the desert is great! The service is very nice but they asked us to leave less than 90 min because of next customer which is not nice, unfortunately. We definitely come back back love to enjoy the food not to be rushed.
What a nice, higher end restaurant for Izakaya! I think the skewers offered are pretty tasty as well as their non-skewered items! If you've never had Chicken Oysters, try them!
