This was my second visit to the Haus am Walde and it was considerably better than my first when I was served a completely bizarre vegetable curry with strawberries on top. Thankfully this time we hit the perfect season arriving for the Pfifferlingen season...(chanterelle mushrooms for those who don't recognise the word). This place is a tastefully restored house near the park and has a tempting menu (albeit pricy). It has lovely views with indoor and outdoor seating. It's romantic and yet casual enough to visit anytime of the day. Perfect for small moments or large occasions.
Great breakfast, very attentive and well maintained service. Very good ventilation, that's a little gigantic. If you don't mind, there's no problem. The only weak point is the toilets that should not be ventilated and therefore smell unpleasant.
We gathered our family for my sister's wedding, and the first dinner was planned in this restaurant Typical, like french or belgian estaminet , we ate well, drank good beers. childrn wer playin in the park. I advise to go there!

Haus am Walde is located on the edge of the Burgerpark, near the Bremen University grounds. Especially in summer, this is a great place for an outdoor beer (good choices of German beers) and a typical German snack.
Great location, delicious food. Very child-friendly. (Three milk we were allowed to eat while the children fed the fish and the crabs, but it was heavenly. Really. The best milk ever!
