In September 2017 we were here several times. Among other things, we held a larger family dinner there and were always very satisfied. That's why we visited the place a year later. Unfortunately, this time the expectations, at least in a court, were not met at all. I had a good memory of the roast potatoes I ordered for the Matjes. Unfortunately, these were as if they were warmed up in the microwave or came out of the bag as a finished product. My friendly complaint was noted with a head nod. Nothing happened until my demand. The service power was apparently wondering about my stubbornness asked in the kitchen. In response, I got that these potatoes were a new variety that you can't fry. But...

Reservation without problems. Ambience very sober and not cozy. The food is not a highlight, but it is definitely not bad. I think it's best to get a higher average. All right, greedy and not greasy, were the roast potatoes. Sauer meat was tastefully fine, the small herb salad leaf did not recall freshly prepared herb salad. The fish fillet was of good quality, the noodles also added. The great Ducksteiner beer for 5,10 € is already limited. We were wrong with Corona. The distance controls between the tables were correctly observed. We made 10 days in stone with our dog Luna holiday and were 8 days from here to dinner. The hospitality of the whole staff was great, you felt welcome. Good-bourgeois cuisine was very good and you noticed it was prepared with love. In these times, the Corona virus must be reserved. Thanks to the entire team from the house of the spa guest in Stein.

The ambience rustic, the kitchen surprising, the service with heart. Here there are bourgeois cuisine with great quality whether cod, carving or Camembert. And a host who lives host mentality. There was a very delicious buffet with many different dishes. Everything we've tried really tasted good. Unfortunately, such a diverse buffet is only worth, if there are many people there and that was also the manko that led to crowds and little ambience.

Nice place. Beer was excellent. Waitress had loads of wierd piercings all over her face, yuck! Surely that raises some heath vs. food issues?
