Unfortunately we couldn't taste the food. We arrived at 5:30 on a Sunday night. Parking was difficult. Go to the facility. It was completely empty. A table of 2 Diners paid and another table of 4 esste. Other than that, there were MANY empty tables in the restaurant. The waitress asked if we had a reservation. I laughed almost loud, but I remained polite and respectful. You can't be serious, I thought. I answered her in German that we did not. She went to the kitchen to the boss/owner (I suppose) if we could be served. His answer was “NO”! I asked if we could buy food “To-Go”. She reacted rudely to “NO”. There are places like these that give Germans a bad name, and I was horrified at the level of hostility and abstention. Believe me, this place is not a Michelin 5* classic. It's greedy, dated and a hole in the wall. My advice is this: don't worry at this point when it comes to a RESERVATION! The food can be good, but the level of general rest is high. Why should someone be treated so badly and protect such a place? Save yourself some mourning and find another place to eat.

We went there at 3pm and they were ready to prepare food for us. They were so patient to describe the menu to two foreigners who unerstand few German. They wanted to be sure we liked so explain very well their traditional recipies. They offered a started because they wanted us to know it. We had filet with broccolis and carrots. And potatoes with bacon. It was good an cheap.

A wonderful evening in a cozy house. Who likes it rustic is well-resolved. Here's the guest still king. What the owners can do is enchanted. Also for children paint pencils with paint blocks are no problem. Just nice. The food is all around good and you'll be fed well.
