we were only for a week in köln and researched düsseldorf and bonn etc. and we returned twice to this place. once in our first night, and once in our last, where the dinge could not be made easier for us as a non-German... spokesman, the menu came in English and both waiters we met happily about the specials and the Bavarian specialties. the scavenger cordon-bleu and colsh were in front of place. it had the feeling of a real place, but we felt very welcome. the freshly made sour wort (cooked with speck? was absolutely delicious, like the apple pancake (smooth and very filling.) a joy!

Its a traditional Cologne restaurant with very nice stuff and good traditional food! I had the Cordon Blue and it was really good! Its also a bar and you have a few small tables outside on the street where you can sit in the surrounding...of a typicall Cologne city street with all this open minded and nice people passing by and having a chat and a Koelsch (beer)

this is a pub with a decent kitchen. it has changed in the course of the years, but is still a place I would like to go as the people tend to be friendly, eating tends to be quite good, and the prices were fair.

our friends took us here and we were not disappointed. it is an old traditional setting and the staff are really friendly. we all had different food and we all enjoyed it. worth a visit.

let's just say it's typical of Germany. eating is pretty good, but the place is pretty grubby and dirty. eating is good. the beer is great!
