The restaurant is quite well placed at downtown near the city hall. The facade and the decoration was beautiful and in the style of an old typical german restaurant. The restaurant was full of people that, like us, were in the city for a big trade show at Frankfurt Fair. There was just one waiter attending the tables so reaching him was really hard.We asked two goulash soups a prok knuckle and a Schnitzel. The soup was good. My colleague ate the schnitzel because he was really starving. I´ve been many many times in Germany and in many German restaurants in the world and I can confirm that this was the worst I ever tried in my whole life. I don't know if it was frozen and defrozen several time...

Well, first of all, I must say that the restaurant locates at the very center of tourist attractions in Dome-Romer. So be ready for a tourist trap! It was a Saturday afternoon, when we wanted to grab a beer and have starters outside in a rare sunny day. The seats in outside were rather empty in Haus Wetheym, so we decided to sit over there. We had coffee, Apfelstrudel, fish and beer. The food was not exceptional for sure, yet it was ok. On the other hand, the portions were rather small compared to German standards. When we felt cold outside after an hour, we wanted to sit inside and grab two more biers. The waiter kindly showed us a free place (yes there were a few free seats), yet the so-ca...

We spent New Year's Eve in Frankfurt, and took the advice to head to Romerburg Square to find a historic tavern. We were not disappointed! The building itself is a wonder, as is the square during the holidays. The restaurant itself is small, and crowded, so be ready to be flexible and patient. And, call ahead for a table! There is one gentleman who does all the serving! The food was wonderful, traditional German fare. We weren't so sure of what we were ordering but that was part of the fun. Note that you will pay for water, and you can't just stop in for a beer-you must order food to drink there. There are few non-meat options on the menu, and they also offer wild game entrees. And, they don't... Réservez une table maintenant

Situated within the tourist route, this is the oldest restaurant in Frankfurt. After you tire those legs out strolling and enjoying the wonderful views in the "Romer," you can make a pit stop in this place. You can settle inside the restaurant and appreciate that classic ambience or you can opt to sit outside, adoring the scenery and just simply looking at the flow of the crowd walking through those cobbles while enjoying your food and sipping on some cold brews!

We were a little surprised to be placed at a long trestle table with a number of other people but it turned out be be a great idea, everybody chatted a bit even though we were speaking different languages. The gentleman waiter was very helpful...explaining the food. I had the chicken breast in madeira sauce, it was delicious and the red house wine was great.

The restaurant smelled pretty much like an ashtray, toilettes were disgusting. The food was no more than addible. The only positive thing about the place is the location, the waitress was also nice, therefore stars. I definately do not recommand the place.

Wow. Traditional German food in a restaurant building built it 1479. Beer, frankfurters, sauerkraut, and bratwurst. Good times. I shall be returning on my next trip to Frankfurt. Réservez une table maintenant
