The wife and I went to the excellent Victoria Point cinema and after the film we decided to stay for dinner. After scouring Tripadvisor, we decided to try Haveli.After a two minute walk, we arrived at the restaurant and was promptly seated in the vivid and well dressed establishment.The staff were all young but were great throughout the whole service, We ordered way too much food and probably ate far too much but it was difficult to stop ourselves as it was so delicious. The curries, the rice, the naan bread and sides were all superb and it was difficult to leave a morsel, even though I almost slipped into a food korma.In my experience, good Indian restaurants are difficult to in Queensland...
Sensational food, started off with onion and spinach pakora so delicious, and the dipping sauce out of this world. For mains I had butter chicken (mild) my husband had chicken tikka (mild) , indian salad, garlic naan bread and poppadoms. Main comes with complimentary saffron rice. The whole meal was just supurb and we loved it. The service was quick and they were very attentive, returning making sure our meal was ok and if we wanted more water.The price was fantastic as well. Just love it, you cannot go wrong with a meal here.
We have tried alot of Indian restaurants over the years. But haveli Indian restaurant Victoria point by far has to be the best. Whether you eat in or take away the quality of the food is fantastic. There naan breads are the best. If your looking for great food, great atmosphere try havali Indian restaurant victoria point. Michelle c. Vic pt.
Top place to visit with a mate to catch up and to sample some Indian dishes with accompaniments & a beer or two. Generous portions meant we weren't left hungry. I've also had many of their takeaway $9.99 lunch specials which are pretty good (and filling!): a curry, saffron rice, poppadum, cucumber riata, and two pakoras. Réservez une table maintenant
Food was not quite what I was used to in Indian restaurants, none of the dishes were spicy enough to really burn the mouth but very tasty nonetheless.Service was very good and the venue with an outlook to the nearby lake is very pleasant - worth dining outside to appreciate it.
