Every Saturday evening during summer time, the lawn outside the Rise in Maylamds comes alive with people coming to sample delicious food and enjoy themselves. It is a great place to meet the locals, as every man, woman, kids and dog will be there. There is a good selection of international food at reasonable prices, both savoury and sweet. also live music to dance to, (or at least tap your toes and sing along with)Maylands has a wonderful mix of multicultural residents and the mood on these balmy summer nights is friendly and happy. Only problems sometime is finding a chair to sit on, or a spot to park your car, but it is handy for buses and trains.

A wide variety of food trucks representing lots of different cuisines on an open lawn area perfect for picnicking on. Food is extremely good quality - think "gourmet" food truck. There is equipment for children to blow massive soap-bubbles, and often face painting as well. Live music.

Loads of multicultural food stalls happening. Loads of people sitting around eating and sampling the food. Very relaxed and awesome atmosphere. I think it's only on on a Monday night. We went at about 6pm.

Very busy. Make sure you arrive early as some had sold out by 6pm! Tried eggplant chips, grilled mac sandwich and pork buns. Pork buns to die for. Great vibe!
