For the very first time, I visited this location. I was looking for some place to eat and I saw this while I was in Oak Park. First thing is that this is a clean and colorful place. The paintings and decors were lovely that really gives a Mexican vibe. This is basically a Mexican restaurant and they have a pretty wide selection of different Mexican foodies in their menu. The staff they have here was nice, friendly and accommodating too. It is also a small spot but there is a lot of tables inside so I decided to dine in instead of carry out. First time at Hecho en Oak Park and stooped in for their highly recommended margaritas... Space feels like a small cantina with a handful of tables and bar area. Margaritas are priced accordingly with four flavors to choose from as well as two specialtymargaritas. We ordered strawberry and pineapple, cucumber and a mezcalucha. They are tasty and refreshing. Mezcalucha smokey andstrong. Caught a Mexican flan (Natilla) for dessert, definitely for the sweet tooth in all. Place was good, seemed a bit shortstaffed in a Monday.
This trendy Mexican restaurant has great margaritas and awesome tacos. Definitely try the elotes (corn rolled in mayo, cheese, chili powder). Great chips salsa, queso fundido is pretty good. Staff are nice but the dining room is small and can get packed, so it may take a while for food to come out. The interior is colorful and vibrant, it's just a shame they don't have more seating! I'd highly recommend Hecho en Oak Park.
This is definitely my favorite taco spot in Oak Park. The food is excellent, a bit pricier than your typical tacos considering the portion size, but they’re well-seasoned and skillfully made. The guacamole is tasty, and the tacos are delicious. There aren’t many tables, but that rarely poses a problem. The cozy space is more than compensated for by the bold flavors of the food.

Absolutely outstanding! The menu offers great value, and the food is exceptional. Our waitress was very friendly, and the flavor combinations were thoughtful and balanced—featuring sweet grilled pineapple, creamy avocado, and spicy, tangy hibiscus flower all wrapped in a homemade tortilla. I will definitely be returning and can't wait to explore more of their offerings!
The food was delicious, but unfortunately, we received the wrong bill. They attempted to charge us for around 10 tacos and more, whereas we had only ordered a total of 6 for the two of us. While the food was enjoyable, the overall experience was significantly marred by the subpar service.
You have to try the chicken enchiladas—they’re by far the best I’ve had in the area. The tacos are fantastic, and the margaritas are just as impressive. This has quickly become a favorite spot for both dining in and takeout, leaving me craving it as soon as I finish my meal.
Don’t be deceived by the small size of this restaurant. Although seating is limited, the food rivals any Latin cuisine I’ve experienced. It’s very affordable and packed with flavor. Their drinks are freshly made to order, with no premixed cocktails.

Wow!!! I can't give this place anything less than a 10/10!!! The fried tilapia taco is absolutely delicious, and that sauce is amazing! The pastor taco is fantastic too! They've really nailed it!
