This is a long overdue review! Life has been hectic, but Hefty Gyros catered for my backyard wedding on 05/29. They showed up on time and everything was as described when I booked them with Jamal. The food did not disappoint, was delicious, and had lots of great reviews from my guests. I heard many times about the hefty fries! Yum. The chicken plate had the right amount of food and seasoning. Hefty Gyros is an excellent value for filling and quality food. One thing I didn't plan for was the amount of time it would take to feed about 90 people. Plan for that with big events so your guest don't get hangry waiting.
best gyro I had ever had. it was a long windy night, and my face was worn by the glowing sands. making a fire or looking for sheltwr was not an option that allowed gloomy it not. in the far away there was a weak flicker from a warm light that came through a building. After I had penetrated the wide and heavy of the cold swirls of the sand for a night, I made it light, a magical place called hefty gyros. there was warmth where there was none. the meat they delivered in a warm, crunchy pita was not aged. spice, make the tight wet. best pita ever!
Visited the Hefty Gyro Truck on Saturday Oct.23 at the World Food Expo. I was excited to try it based on the positive Yelp review. Boy was I surprised. The gyro was not a true gyro, which should be shaved from a rotisserie of beef/pork/ sometimes lamb mixture. Instead I got what appeared to be a sloppy Joe type of mixture, dry an over spiced. I was also lacking any tzatziki sauce which is a necessity in these types of meals. I give them one star for good pita bread.
FIRE! the gyro fries were freaked BOMB, the right amount of spice, and the meat was cooked to perfection! Not to mention that the fires were crispy even with all the toppings!! The service was so nice and they come out to help the community and donated their time! The wait was minimal but so with it! the baklava was AMMMMMMMAAAAAAAZZZINNGGG not too sweet like other places tend to be! 10/10 definitely recommend!
I love their gyro pitas! These people know what it means to make tasty food. it's all good, no matter what they get...Gyro or chicken pit,falafel, theft frits. I have the Gyro-Pita and I was in the Gyro-Pita sky. I can try the pommes next time. big food young and girl from hefty gyros!!! I'll be back in a moment. if they want to reach nirvana. this place is a step in the right direction.
At Natioal night out. I ordered the #1, Original Gyro. It was very good , and plentiful, fresh cucumber and some peppers lighten the Gyro . The pita was great. Soft ,not dry, and the texture was good. Overall good experience. The staff were super friendly too. And I wore my Food truck sock. nGOOD LOOKING FOOD TRUCK. n#justhavingfun
