Das Essen hier ist Top und die Preise absolut in Ordnung. Die Salate waren alle frisch zubereitet und haben super geschmeckt. Ich hatte eine Knoblauchrahmsuppe, einfach toll. Rahmschnitzel mit Nüdeli war auch super lecker. Mein Mann hatte paniertes Schnitzel und war auch begeisterst. Wie bei Muttern zu Hause hat es geschmeckt. Ehrliche Schweizer Küche. Die Wirtin ist zuckersüss, sehr zuvorkommend und um das Wohl der Gäste immer bemüht. Das ist noch alte Schule und wir sind begeistert, das es sowas noch gibt. Wir kommen sicher wieder.
We found that Interlaken was much more of a tourist trap than we imagined. So we looked forma restaurant in nearby Wilderswil. Restaurant Heimat was well reviewed on TA and this turned out to be correct. Charming restaurant run by an amazing woman (rumour was she was 88! . The food and the service were great, the bar and the restaurant are adjacent and it was nice to see lots of locals in. Nice ambiance too, felt like the Switzerland of years ago.
Escape the commercialised tourist town of Interlaken and stay nearby at the Heimat. You get in return the friendliest, most authentic simple Swiss Hotel you can imagine. Their restaurant is excellent so no need to travel at night for a good meal. It's the second time we have stayed here. Its quick and easy to get to the tourist spots from here, but many beautiful walks to be had on the door step. I shall return again soon.
We came here by chance and were very pleased by the amazing food and incredibly friendly service. If you want to feel pampered, just come here and you will not regret it! Generous portions, excellent beer and once again a very warm welcome and service! From the cook who came outside to suggest us where we could park, to the waiters who did a great job in speaking English as we didn’t speak any German.

Wir haben auf der Durchreise gestoppt und unser Abendessen eingenommen. Ursprünglich haben wir auf der Speisekarte unser Wunschessen (Wurstsslat) nicht gefunden. Aber auf Nachfrage zeigte sich das Restaurant sehr flexibel und ich durfte einen wunderbaren Wurstsslat genießen.
Our family just ate at this restaraunt thanks to the great reviews on Trip Advisor! The food was very tasty with generous portion sizes and great service! Reasonably priced for this type of meal. Highly recommend the mixed salad to start! Even the children loved every bite!
Wonderful service and staff, excellent food and reasonable prices, away from the Interlaken tourist traps. A fly-strip or something to keep the flies at bay would be good as they do get out of control and distract from the overalll experience.
Not a bad experience. Food is OK but nothing special specially considering the reviews. Typical food for the area I guess
