at homeweh there are mainly kumpir (filled, backkartoffel with very, very tasty, self-made fillings. besides the few, fleshy options, these are vegan and taste together just delicious. among them kısır (couscous , oliven, dried tomatoes, vegetables, beans, maize,... best directly note that you are vegan foods then the butter and the cheese are simply omitted. they will be added to the kartoffel at the beginning before you are asked what filling you want. there are three different vegan sauces (mostly take all three! hummus, avocado cream and sharp sauce. the restaurant itself is guided by two brothers who are both very attentive and sympathetic. The Kumpir is huge and there are many different toppings that you can add like Bulgur, red beans, corn, jalapeños etc. The avocado sauce, hummus and the spicy sauce are vegan. The vegan Kumpir is not explicitly written on the menu, but you can ask for a vegan and they will prepare it for you without any butter or cheese and also tell you what toppings/ sauces are vegan and not. The staff is suuuper friendly and helpful. Do not forget to bring cash, because this place does not accept cards!
We were walking on the street and we realize that place look how warm and cosy from outside. When we enter the place the staff welcome us with friendly smile. We order our dishes with small talk. The delivery was quite quick. The place was not so crowded or loud but cosy and warm. You feel like at your home or your friend's place. After dishes we drunk our Turkish tea which they treated us. That was a nice for our conversation for good vibe. It's really nice place obviously.
I went to this place with a coworker as I am from out of town. I must say that the food is amazing and the proprietor is very nice. It is essentially a build your own kumpir with a bar of toppings that you can build a heaping plate with. I highly suggest giving it a chance if you are in the area.
