Helene Des Iles - Réservation de table

Eight of us recently spent a few days in the Maggies. We were all impressed with the locally produced cheese, beer and other food. We had a wonderful experience there and were made to feel very welcome. While we had some terrific restaurant meals, the one place we all talked about on the ferry home was Helene Des Iles boulangerie.It is easy to find being located just to the right after you cross the bridge on to Ile du Havre aux Maisons. And oh my.... the sweets!! Do you remember the Deputy Dawg cartoon where he would float into the air when he ate a dog biscuit? We were going to be fed an Island specialty called Pot-en-pot and we were delegated to buy the desert. After being recommended to us, we visited this small Patisserie off Route 199 and were so pleasantly surprised by both the simplicity of the little venue and the beauty of the products being made there. The Lemon pie was simply TERRIFIC and the coconut puffs were to die for. Definitely a place to go to bring back some great sweets to your B&B and share with some fellow traqvelers

This is by far the best pastry we have ever tasted, not just on the island but in all of Quebec! This bakery is only open 3 days a week (at least in September), so make sure to grab a slot and don't miss out. The wait is definitely worth it as the pastries are deliciously moist. As French speakers, our standards for bakeries are quite high, but the quality and taste of this local bakery's products are simply outstanding!

I have tried several chefs on the island, but I must say that Helene's Bakery was the best. It is worth the wait as there is always a line outside. They offer a variety of pastries, and I would highly recommend it. Réservez une table maintenant

This patisserie was recommended to us by several people when we arrived on the islands, and with good reason. So many delicious pastries, macroons, tarts and treats. An essential stop while on the islands!

helene makes really tasty tasty! nice that we were past a visit on the island. we tried a lot of baked strawberry rhubarb pee, canelé, scones, macaroons etc....and they were all so delicious.

Wonderful and Amazing handmade treats! We bought a mixture of things to try and everything was excellent! Great variety, everything was super fresh. You won't be disappointed, don't miss it!

You can feel and taste the passion here I strongly recommend. Everything felt like food from heaven. We were 15 people to enjoythis pastry shop and they all agree. Réservez une table maintenant

We thoroughly enjoyed a Pecan Pie and other treats from this bakery numerous times on our 2 week holiday in Les Iles de la Madeleine. Very convenient location!

Best pain au chocolat I have ever had in my life. Gorgeous little patisserie: like stepping into France. Teeming with customers. Highly recommended.
