Helen's Sausage House

5 stars for the sausage.Sadly the interior is getting a bit ragged as the carpet looks extremely old and the walls could do with fresh paint. But you don't come to Helen's for the ambience.After COVID pandemic hit, Helen's went take out only and has stayed that way to date, which is fine.On Saturday, if you want a sausage sandwich, get there before 11 AM. They may still have them after 11 but generally this is when supply runs thin.

as always, my order of a wurstei and cheddar was perfect with a Cran grape juice. a little busy for 9 watches, but they clear this line super fast as always. they removed the 6 person in the rule that I used to and enjoyed. it can be a little scratched whatever is. I can't complain much. I will still prefer to drive the 40 minutes here than to the other guy who is around the corner of me, but double the price.

Mostly breakfast sandwiches. Double with egg and cheese was two sausage links (full size, not breakfast sausages) with a fried egg and sliced American on a soft steak (4 inch) roll. It was good, but not really worth the hype it has and the line to get food. That said, the line moved fairly well and we had food in about 20 minutes.

Helen's sausage house is a great place to stop and get a quick breakfast sandwich. If you are in the area, you should stop and pickup a sausage sandwich! Even, just the plain sausage sandwich is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They only take cash, but it's worth the stop.

Local Mom and Pop Legend..always a great and friendly experience here..absolutely love their sausage sandwiches and just about anything I've ever ordered here
