We just stopped by to try this place for lunch. Very pleased with our meal! We were seated in the bar/lounge area and Ordered 2 appetizers, (one being the Tzaiki and pita) a cup of the cream of crab soup and a gyro. Husband said the gyro was absolutely delicious, best he has had in md so far, and the soup was great! We did have to wait for what felt like awhile for our food (definitely over 20 mins), and all the food came together. There was no reason the appetizers could not have come out sooner or right away for the pita. There seemed to be only two waiters servicing the whole area who were both extremely friendly and wonderful, but instead of having one assigned to our table they both wai...
The restaurant has friendly staff. Very spacious. The food we ordered was delicious. We had the appetizer of garlic mussels that were wonderful. There wasn't a nasty fishy taste to it. I have run into thats issue at other restaurants, but theirs tasted fresh and had a wonderful garlic flavor. I ordered the gyro platter and my husband ordered crab cakes. The serving sizes are large. I feel like I could have shared my meal with my husband and it would have been enough. Especially, because the meals came with 2 sides. I chose a Greek salad and potatoes salad. Both were perfect in flavor! I would love to go again and plan on returning with friends.
I'll say we're glad to have stopped at Hellas for lunch. First experience here...good service from start to finish, delicious food drinks. There was a little waiting for food, but our waitress was the food wonderful, so no complaints. Junk Box, Pool Tables, an arcade game tvs around made this a sweet place for all ages. Just reason I gave 4 stars were the chairs! Our bums were not happy to sit on such hardwood and wait for our food. So I recommend pillows or different chairs, which are more convenient for the time of sitting to really enjoy the delicious food in Hellas. View images
This place was busy so service was slightly slow but everyone was friendly and the food was great!!!! Been to a few Greek restaurants in the area and this probably the best. Moussaka was amazing!! Try it! Sliders and fries were perfect. French onion soup was there best I've had in a long time. Great job, Hellas!

Food took awhile... about 90 minutes from the time we ordered. I have the filled lobster tail. It was amazing (resistance for 4 stars) ...Hubby got Lasagne.. I think everyone else enjoyed their food too. Overall ... good experience and would go back
The food was great. We had the flaming cheese, a salad, and a gyro. BUT the atmosphere is more focused on the bar with the TVs and the loud modern music. Also the wait to get your food is just a bit too long. Overall a good experience though.
Everytime I'm in town and near Hella's, we stop in to have dinner. The best crab cakes ever along with other seafood the seafood platter, fish or shrimp. I haven't tried the Greek specialties, but I'm sure they would be good also.
Best crab cakes in Maryland. Always a lot of lump meat, huge sandwich for your money. I've been getting them here for 20 years and will continue. I'm always disappointed when I try crab cakes elsewhere, they don't compare.

The food was awesomesauceness, drinks were great our waitress Mira was top notch even though it was very busy...another great night with friends at Hella's....
It was our first time here. It was ok. The crab dip took like 25 mins. Everything else was good. The rice pudding was really good.
