Auntie's Kitchen offers delicious modern Vietnamese dishes with a beautiful presentation for a slightly higher price compared to more casual venues. The service was friendly and the food was tasty. We tried the tofu banh xeo, which was a tasty combination of tofu, bean sprouts, lettuce, and mint. The pancake batter was flavorful and aromatic, making it a great option for sharing between four people. The silken tofu was delicious, although the firmness was unexpected. Other dishes such as the pork skewers, chicken and corn spring roll, and vermicelli were tasty but not particularly memorable. However, there were some minor issues such as missing menu items, mismatched chopsticks, and delayed...

We finally got to eat at Hello Auntie and straight after our dinner we were making plans to come back in a couple of weeks time. It’s that good. So good. <br/ <br/ Although a casual dining restaurant the interior is warm and cosy and I love the beautiful old photos throughout the restaurant. The food is Vietnamese fusion and it works. A must try are the chicken and corn spring rolls with mayo and grana padano cheese. Who would have thought of teaming Italian cheese with spring rolls? Trust me they were to die for. I could have had another serving all to myself. <br/ <br/ The traditional Vietnamese pancakes are a beautiful sight and very light, crispy and fresh. It’s definitely a must try.<br...
The menu looks quite interesting and a separate vegan menu sounds really promising ! Unfortunitely The taste is just not there and portion is quite small for the price tag, the decor is industrial-trend and looks more like a cafe than a restaurant , we ordered 4 dishes and sadly only the pancake was still okay, very difficult to wave a waitstaff and they seem to have no idea what is going on around nor what on offer on the vegan menu. Simple answers like ' everything on the vegan menu are vegan friendly ' ???? Could not suggest nor Explain the dish at all !
I have a special affection for Vietnamese pancakes (the savoury kind) after visiting Vietnam. So basically if I find them on a menu, I order them. For $14 for the basic, more if you add meat, the pancake that Auntie makes is fantastic. Large, heaps of filling, generous lettuce and mint, crunchy....The spring rolls were large, with tasty filling, abad the wagu beef in betel leaves was moist and a new experience for my dining friend & myself.Auntie, you will see me again, next time I'm in Marrickville, or when I have a hankering for a pancake. This place is a bit fancier than other Vietnamese places nearby and the menu is quite unique. There is a separate vegetarian/vegan menu, with clear markings over half is vegan. We particularly enjoyed the pancake with duck and the eggplant dish. Not sure about the tofu truffle spring roll it was cooked well but a bit odd. The other dishes we tried were tasty. Overall a very enjoyable meal and the ambience was nice. The whatchamacallit drink was delicious!
$19 for pho with good meat selection. Briskets was so yummy.<br/ Rare beef (Angus beef I suppose as menu said) was mostly cooked, I prefer the beef is more rare side it does mean the soup is served hot tho.<br/ The soup has strong taste. I wish I could have more herbs though.<br/ <br/ Always busy. I walked in alone without booking, just after the opening time.<br/ It was my 2nd visit and the service was pleasant at the both time.<br/
Really nice place and it’s awesome that there is a seperate vegan menu!! Waitstaff were super friendly and very knowledgeable on the food which was a plus! Food was amazing but a bit too much oil for me! The veg knot and tofu Bahn Xeo were
we appreciate the separate vegetarian /vegan menu (all vegetarian dishes can be made vegan) and not only there were many choices the results were delicious and beautiful presented. friendly service and buzzy Saturday night buzz. Réservez une table maintenant
