and so, the night is like this... I watch the Tasman Sea get angry the grey of the sky loses the horizon to the grey of the sea. Only the wild whitecaps break the monotony of that loss of colour. I slip into Hemingway's, a Manly beachfront bar and order a Mediterranean pizza and a schooner of Cooper's. The music is the definition of my being young Cat Stevens, Donovan and Neil Young. The food was good, the beer was good. the music was good and the day, as it submitted to a stormy night was best of all.
I was only in and out, but service was fast and very friendly. The Croque Madame was spectacular, a truly excellent breakfast. The only minor (purely constructive) criticism I have: the coffee seemed a bit rushed even though they weren't really very busy, bubbles in the milk. It tasted great though so it doesn't warrant taking away a star, just something to think about.
Great lunch sat watching the ocean and the world go by, great vibe in an awesome location, the staff were super nice and provided excellent service. Even Alfie, our dog, was looked after with bacon bits and some cold water. You could do a lot worse in life than to head down to Hemingways and heed the words on the back of the staff t-shirts.
Just happened to come across Hemingway's when walking in the rain at Manly. Looked so inviting we stopped for coffee and breakfast. The coffee was great and the food was wonderful. The service from the friendly staff was wonderful. Thank you.

The **** Mary was actually the nicest I have had in years and the chicken nuggets were ridiculously tasty!! Excellent service and a view of the beach... what more could you want!! Would highly recommend it
Great food, excellent coffee, and epic view. My son Nathanael and I enjoyed our brunch immensely when we visited Hemingway's Manly on a 12-hour layover a couple weeks back on the way to New Zealand.
Quinoa and kale salad with chicken is definitely one of my fav', staff is very nice and the place is amazing! Tried the new cocktail menu and it is bomb, you should give it a go!!
Great little place .. I started of in morning for coffee which was just right .. then I came back had there chicken burger delicious.... I will be back .....

Definitely the opción for lunch on Sunday, really cozy place and magnificent service plus environmental friendly! Love it !
