Il y a quelques semaines, nous avons dîné chez Henry1V. Nous étions 9 dans notre groupe. Certains d'entre nous ont choisi de dîner à partir du menu à 18 euros et d'autres ont opté pour le menu à 26 euros, qui incluait une entrée supplémentaire. Nous avons commencé avec un Amuse Bouche - une petite assiette de fromage de chèvre avec une purée de figues, c'était délicieux. Ensuite, j'ai pris du carpaccio d'espadon, qui était délicieux, mais une portion très copieuse. Cela a ensuite été suivi par du Saint Pierre, qui fondait littéralement dans ma bouche. Ensuite est venu le plateau de fromages avec du pain, et pour terminer j'ai choisi la Mouxelle de Chocolat qui était délicieuse! Notre serveus...
Visited here while visiting the area. We were slightly out of the 12.-00 - 2.00 lunchtime period and were a little worried we would miss out on lunch. The staff were very accommodating and the food was very good indeed. Unfortunately our limited knowledge of French meant that we ended up paying more than the lunch menu price of 11.50 euros as they had run out of the starter options and offered us the starter from the 18.50 euro menu and they also charged extra for drinks. If we'd realised this at the start then we would have ordered differently. Having said all this the food was very good.
Went for the 18.50 three course meal but was very disappointed, The potions were small and when we asked for the cheese dish we were given a very small plate with the smallest slice of cheese I have ever seen plus one tiny round piece of goats cheese, and for this they wanted an extra 3 euros. we sent it back, now if you had the 26.00 menu you got a selection of cheese brought to your table. and treated really nice, but because we had the cheaper menu we were made to feel uncomfortable, We live in France and 18.50 is not a cheap menu.We will not be going back
We saw a sign on the road advertising the restaurant was open all day which solved our problem of finding a restaurant that was open.We selected the €23.50 menu which offered a good choice of fish and meat.Service was very good even though the restaurant was very busy with locals.Good car parking.
I know there are some mixed reviews about this place but we have eaten here four or five times in the last year and have never been disappointed.The food is good and not over-priced, and the staff are attentive - we will be returning on our next visit to Rostrenen!
