I recently had the Hero House experience through online ordering and pick-up. I have been a fan of Hero House since their original location next to the colosseum, and I remember when they had two locations. Today, I decided to show my support by ordering from them. I was torn between ordering online or calling in my order. After waiting a long time on the phone, I ended up placing my order online. I ordered their Greek salad with feta cheese, kalamata olives, mint, green pepper, tomato, cucumber, and onions. I also got their homemade onion rings. my family loves this little hole n the wall have yummy sub sandwiches from here get 4 many yrs. I love her desserts especially her Italian cream cake. actually, if I have 2 b near here on stratford rd sometimes I only meet 4 a big piece of cake....even if I eat somewhere else. this morning I sat n the parking 10-15mins waiting 4 they 2 open 11am together with a few other ppl. they are not 2 difficult 2 find on stratford rd next to the tankstelle. u can read your menu online or at the wall behind the registern. u can arrive before 2 places ur order or wait til u. they offer cheap meals 4 take or dine in them have a public toilet 4 customers 2 use. look at whether u has never been b4.
When I first entered the restaurant, I was immediately greeted with an unprofessional attitude. Having worked in a restaurant before, I understand that it can be a stressful environment, but customer service is key. Unfortunately, my experience was not pleasant as my food was undercooked and my brother's meal was not prepared properly. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, she responded with a dismissive attitude when I requested a replacement due to the undercooked food. I was unable to finish my cheese sticks due to the poor quality. Upon returning to the restaurant on multiple occasions, I was consistently met with the same rude attitude from the manager.
Great place for subs and sandwiches! pretty busy around lunch time when I went, but the counter service was pretty quick. Cute old timey diner feel. They make a good cheesesteak. The cheese is more like a melted, sticky cheese instead of the oogey gooey stringy cheese but still delicious. The fries are standard. The onion rings are delicious and comes in a hefty serving compared to other places that only give like 3 rings. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu! All I have to say is WOW!! Everything taste so great. I feed a family of 4 for only 60$ Nice! That included subs, sides, drinks and dessert. Awesome food.Awesome price. And it was delivered. My husband, my 2 grown sons, and I could not stop talking about how good the quality and taste was. This family had lots of smiles after eating from Hero House.
