Herring Cove Restaurant

As my title says, most of the restaurants on Campobello are only open for a few days a week. We stayed at an airbnb and our host suggested to us that we try the Herring Cove (as it was the only place serving dinner..... Shrimp...dinner was good, fish&chips are good. The next day we returned for desserts at around lunch-time. Surly staff informed us that none of the desserts were fresh made a couple of days ago Nothing made fresh that day, or in fact the day before. Cooked food is good. Service is blah. They don't care, there are enough golfers there to keep them in a job I guess.

A year after my review of this restaurant we returned, honestly because options are limited on Campobello after Labour Day. We visited this past weekend, adults. Our food was good, but the wait was terrible and the service was unappealing at best. As others...have said, it seems that if you are known to the staff/local, you are well looked after; others not so much. Second day we ordered food to go. I had ordered chicken tenders as I had seen others order them on Saturday night. Mine were way overcooked. Awful. We would not recommend.

We spent the day on campobello island. It was very quiet given the border closure with the US, so hardly anything was open. Luckily this restaurant was open for lunch and it did not disappoint! We sat on the deck, including our dog, and enjoyed...the amazing views of Herring cove beach! We just had a few appitizers for a snack and some coffees. The service was very good and friendly. The inside of the restaurant looked nice as well. Definitely a great stop while on the island.

So I would argue that the view is one of the best on the island (overlooking Herring Cove). We enjoyed a nice lunch while out running the roads of the island. Our waitress was both friendly and responsive, while managing multiple tables. Three of us...had burgers and my wife had the barbecue quesadillas, all of which were delicious. The burger meat seemed fresh (not frozen) and the onion rings were fried to a golden perfection. We left both full and happy! Réservez une table maintenant

I've been very remiss in not writing a review of this lovely restaurant. I've had a wonderful meal each time I've been here. Fish cakes with chow chow and eggs for breakfast let's you know you're in New Brunswick. Really great fish and chips, good...tartar sauce, tasty coleslaw. On my last visit, I had a delicious fresh raspberry cobbler. Real iced tea, too. Beautiful views of Herring Cove. Friendly and competent staff. I love it.

My wife and I went here on our recent visit to the island. Nice spot. My wife had the fish bites, which came with a delicious homemade dipping sauce. I had the chicken finger wrap, which was very tasty. We would go back to this...restaurant.

My wife and I had a GREAT meal and with GREAT service. There were many people there in a line-up for the deck but we got inside with no problem. EXCELLENT food and service and scenery.

Great place to grab a bite to eat if you are on Campabello. We ate on the deck overlooking the ocean. Staff is super friendly food was great. Réservez une table maintenant
